Just recovering from four drives back and forth to mesquite from st george in 34 hours for four soccer games. Glad to leave and come back to take care of my daughter. Win not worth one more day in st george so brookes soccer team is good on waiting for their day.Wtched Lego movie with girls six hours after courtneys shot in bum of penicillin. Worked all day. No desire to get up early and run. Amber kept me up cryi g that she couldnt sleep with her constant coughing . Laid with her for almost an hour at0100. Thinking i may not feel like running tmr am either. Just hard to get out of bed. Being lazy not depressed just listening to my body. Especially since my eyehas issues.

Saucony fives....dried my flyknits in the dryer on medium heat and they SHRUNK. Toes very tight in toe box. Grrr. So wore the fives but no cushion there since they are racing flats and weigh nothing. OUCH on this old body. Just various joints in spine and legs and left hip yelping. But ignored the aging scream. It wasn't that bad just annoying. See my sleep time? Yup about four hours. All three of my daughters having trouble sleeping. Amber coughing up a lung and Brooke insomnia problem and Courtney feeling better after penicillin shot for strep catching up on lost reading time. Brooke got into bed with me. Kicked her out (gently) at 410am. Because I work at 6am I just got up and finally got out the door at 435am. Kind of tossed a 3 mile tempo with  another one or two fast miles. Thought I would feel great cause in my mind it played out well but the shoes probably were a factor for me and the fact that I was cold and hadn't slept well for two nights. Not sure of the temp but my tummy was red when I got back.. Anyway, ran 2 mile warmup: 8:26, 7:56??? weird, THEN 6:32, 6:45, 6:46. Those last two were not easy for me that I wanted to give up. The air seemed junky and my spine was achy. I actually stopped cause I saw on my watch a pace of 7:08 on the third mile 0.1 into it. I was mad that the effort felt harder. FUNNY THING was that when I stopped my watch the PACE ACTUALLY showed 6:49. LOL. It must have still showed my pace for when I slowed just before the light at AF hospital. Ha ha. When I saw that, I kicked myself and got back to work and finished the 3 miles. About a 20 second stop. Then ran one mile recovery 7:45. That felt easy. Then another fast mile 6:48. Then a half mile easy 8:06 then finished with another fast 1/2 mile at 6:40 pace. Definitely will not be wearing those shoes much. Maybe if I were 20 pounds lighter. NOT going to happen. My race weight is practically athena. 129 to 130 pounds these days. Not light by any sense of the word for a marathoner. Winter I tend to hold on to five more pounds so maybe by Boston I will be down a couple. AP for 8 miles = 7:18. So I got home got out of my clothes and started getting ready for work when I saw I had a voice mail on my phone. Today is not my call shift YET it was my turn to be cut. Seriously??? I just ran at 430 am for nothing??? I am going to take a nap now. Just got kids off to school. I deserve it : D. I think I will do this work out every week only stretch it out to 3, then 2 then 1. After that change it to 3, 2, 2. Then 3, 3, 2, and finish at 3, 3, 3 : D. Repeat that x 1 or 2 til Boston.

arggh!!  The olympics are keeping me awake at night!!  besides my usual extreme difficulty falling and staying asleep being over adrenaline-ized watching winter sports is NOT helping.  Luckily they only come around every four years!!  Anyway got kids off to school and hubby was off to work.  Did Josse's core work out #2 x 2 BEFORE running.  NOT a good thing to do.  I didn't warmup before doing it and then when I ran my legs felt all jello-ey and then lead like.  Ran 12 miles.  7:59 AP.  Cold and just not into it but did it when in the first mile I was going to walk home.  Some runs are like that.

PM:  shake out run as Rachelle calls it. 4.3 miles in 36:14   After the two miles I felt great.  5:45 pm start.  6.25 hours after first run. Sun going down.

5 mile loop to ambers class. Fifth grade teachers have kids run a mile every friday. Last time i went was fall. Only been today and that time. Amber ran 7:21 in the fall air. Since she has told me she just jogs it she has a super bad cough and on antibiotics for a sinus infection. I paced her easy so no going oit too fast. We gained on first llace girl who slowed a lot bit amber then panocked and began coughing. She came in with me at 7:41 a second behind other girl. Four boys ahead pf us. This is twp classes so 60 kids. Ran home a mile and took a sip of powerade. Gross i hate lemon lime powerade. Idk why we bouvht it. Took only 15 seconds and off i went on a loop that got me back at my house at mile 16. Just could not take my tight flyknits anymore. I tried pulling and stretching the toe box ut it just did not help. Feet were so cramped. Put on red flyknits with 670 miles on them and a half size bigger to begin with. No cusbion left but toes lo ing life. First mile 8:51. Last mile 7:27. Ap 8:05. Wiped out from the double high mileage and core work. Arms and chest sore. So much punishment. I need a reward now. :-) sorry for typos. Phone doesnt show what i am texting til finished and i can see witb blown up letters as i type that i made lots of them. Oh well. Taking a nap now.
