Challenged to a 1 min 30 second WALL SIT yesterday at work....NOT PRETTY.  I could barely make it.  She also wanted me to lift one leg up while wall sitting.  NO way.  She proceeded to tell everyone that "runners are weak" since everyone watching me was surprised it was hard for me since I run marathons and have a thing for pain.  Time to do MORE wall sits to get strong....BUT not today.    I don't feel good. Yesterday at work I started to feel stomach flu symptoms....today I awoke feeling weak.  I still was going to run and even thought  I could swim a mile afterwards.  I had dropped Courtney off at the pool and headed out for my hilly five miler around the benches of PG.  I was pooped and my HR felt too speedy.  I was achy all over, like you get with a flu.   Not much strength.  I wore my new saucony mirage 2 shoes that arrived yesterday and it made it feel even harder to run.  New shoes always confuse my body.   I am too sensitive.  I got to five miles and was still a 1/2 mile from the pool where my car was.  I decided swimming and not feeling well wasn't a good idea.  My arms felt really weak especially with all the achiness.  So.....in case I can't even run long tomorrow I got in the "long" run today and ran 8 miles.  AP 8:06.    Iced in river.  Feel really weak right now and need a nap.  Tylenol taken.

That flu is going around. Chris is sick(even though he won't admit it) and Emmie was complaining about her belly all morning. Hope you get better fast.

Get some good rest and food Julie. Are you running tomorrow or what? I never heard back from you. :)

sorry Rachelle, I was feeling lousy so I was in no way going to sign up and then last night the numbness and tingling in my ankle was acting up. I ran today and the numbness now is even greater--- I am thinking I have what is called a "double crush" issue with nerve impingement-- one crush from the lumbar spine (I have an MRI today) and second "crush" is tarsal tunnel syndrome (carpal tunnel of the ankle nerve). The pain and tingling is getting ridiculous. The numbness worries me-- dying off nerves in my ankle. When the nerve tries to work I feel like I have spiders crawling on my ankle and then electical shock like pain to the bottom of my foot. Running in the new shows yesterday really bothered my back too so I am not running in those. Basically my friend at work decided to go camping and can no longer work for me....wish I guess is a blessing in disguise. I really should injure my nerves anymore. This is really frustrating. The MRI is a lot of money but I will get to my deductible with getting it then I don't have to meet that for any of my family so I should just follow through with it. Kind of stressful not knowing where the impingement is and where to focus treatment on. Blah blah. Still going to train as long as I can.

lot of typos in that last entry-- so what doesn't sound right you get what I meant to say-- like I should NOT injure my nerves anymore :D.
