nike pegasus 29.  i guess it is up to them to take me to the finish line. no time to break in any other shoe right now and my mizunos have almost 600 miles on them!!  took 1/2 and ambien that kim gave me saturday. took the other half saturday night too late (2am that it only gave me 3 hours of sleep). I took it last night at 930pm and woke at 225am-- so five hours then I tossed and turned until I got up at 515am and ran 4.5 miles before meeting up with my neighbor/friend Donna who lets me run real slow :D (9:30 to 10 pace) for three miles.  Then another 1/2 mile home.  Achilles is really angry and causing my left calf to burn as well.  I think I will have a professional massage this week.    AP today = 8:36 for 8.   Warmed up two miles and ran two at "who the heck knows" pace -- 6:40, 6:41 (hilly both miles more uphill second mile).  With the ambien on board I really felt in coma-mode and medicated so that med is out the window for being used again this week.  I just want to fall asleep without medicine!!!  And I want to sleep THROUGH the night!!!  I work the next two days-- going easy and short before work and not running one of the days.    BTW I just looked up my BIB number for the ST. George Marathon---  5084  :D.

Nice job with the fast miles. I'm glad your working Tues/wed instead of the two days before the race. Try to get some sleep my friend and relax. 5 more sleeps until race day. :)

I would say four days of attempting to sleeep ; D. I pretty much count on NOT sleeping Friday night since I am not sleeping well now and never have slept more than two broken hours before a marathon!! gotta love it!! now after I finished I was like....oh crap Rachelle I think did some 4 mile tempo workout four days out!! flip. I could have gone on today but I had it in my mind to do two. oh well--- it is not like I am hitting your speedy pace!! sub3:07 ahhhhh feels so good to take the pressure off!! holy flip what if I run slower than that????? at least Josse gave me an excuse to drop out at mile 18 if necessary, seriously. It if of course not my plan but what if crap happens. gotta be prepared this time. Okay I am getting nauseated thinking about it. I might throw up so I am going to stop thinking about SG and continue with my deep cleaning of my house. Brooke's birthday is today. Last year it fell right on the SGM. So glad to celebrate her 12th bday without drama!! 10 girls are invited and we have a lot of fun planned!!! Oh yah!!

I wasn't planning any fast miles this week!! You are going to do so well!! I'm even wondering if I can hit sub 3:07!! Really sleep is over rated right? My baby still wakes up once or twice a night :/

From JulieC on Tue, Oct 02, 2012 at 20:36:11 from 67.41.191.147

how is your PF?? mine is FINALLY GONE-- 5.5 months!!! it started to resolve gradually in august and totally by the beginning of september starting majorly five weeks before boston!! i have been one injury after another!!! my training for sg started the first week in august. I haven't raced since the AF half in June that I hobbled to the finish line in with a 1:27 finish oh and the 24th of july on a whim signed up for the hardest 10k of my life (climbing goliath in provo) and in quite a bit of pain. what was I thinking?? anyway--- i hope i can hold it together, i am emotionally not fit for this race!!! seriously!! and funny about cassette tapes and record players (my kids saw one in a movie and were like really????).
