3 mile trial. 19:35. After warming up at 8:41 to 8:57 pace at 1% incline for 3 miles got off and looked and tried out other tms but came back to this one as it didnt shake but it was closer to window and sun coming through to add to the already too hot gym...due to weekend closure for holiday. I then got back on for 0.1 mil and ran 6:40, 6:35 at 0.5% then down to flat for last mile at 6:25.ish.....picked it uo from 6:31 pace the last 0.1 miles to 6:15. Tm hit 3.1 miles at 20:35. Ran 0.1 miles and hit a minute before i upped it to 6:40. Tm measuring pace faster. I will take it any way i can get it. Sg marathon called. Let me know that i get elite water bottle stations to put my water or special drinks. Also they want me to email some of my history in running the last two years. A resume is how she put it. Gotta do that. I sound important but i am not.

Ran before work.  Woke up before alarm at 420am.  Got out the door at 440am.  Ran 7.1 miles.  Saw three runners in the dark and joined the girl out in front and ran with her for about four miles.  She and her brother and father were running 4 miles.  She was done before me so I ran home from her finishing point getting 7.1 at 8:20 pace.  She used to run for UVU and is 26.  Lives less than a mile a way.  Fun.  Then I went inside and plugged garmin in to charge walked upstairs and Troy told me worked called and put me oncall.  ARGH!!!! up early for nothin.  Well not exactly because I met a fun runner and then decided to go out and make it 8 miles but instead ran til 10.1 (so three more) but REAL easy as after the brief five to six minute break my joints all ached in my foot and pelvis-- symphisis pubis bone burning.  So I just jogged it.  8:55 pace.  Total 10.1.   Really itchy from the humidity and the hives I still have from swimmer's itch exactly a week ago.  Rash still apparent and have been taking a benadryl 25 mg to a half other times.  Lovely.  I scratched at about six of them on my arms-- the blisters hurt to pop (they weren't itchy) but I was sick of them still being there five days later!!  Now they are scabs a day and a half later.  Oh and I picked at four on my tummy.  The others are barely visible and really didn't have a blister on them to pick.  I was just anxious at the time I picked at them.  Should have found something else to do!!  Activity days last night after work but went right to bed about 945pm.

10 miles up 8:15 ap i think. Started at moith of canyon and ran toward theatres to meet carina and tawny. 9 pace first mile. Nice headwind up. Began to feel worse after mile 7. Barely made it up to 10 and when got to top i could not go t fast. And slow burt too. My symphsis pubis and ankle joint hurt and i felt like i had no adrenaline. Got real depressed so walked a bit then started to run again til 12 and stopped and walked for 1.5 miles. 23 minutes for 13 th mile then tried running but couldnt until 13.5 miles. Ran slow til 15 miles then ran 7:15, 6:56 and 6:58.

okay so decided to run the time trial today instead of waiting a week from last one which would be tomorrow.  After realizing it was the benadryl taken every day last week after the swimmer's itch encounter that caused my significant joint pain in both my hope to hobble and last Fridays long run I am feeling more hopeful in my abilities.  Despite the nagging attachment to the achilles pain that is quite inflammatory in the right heel (new spot from where all the plantar fascitis was happening) i just put one foot in front of the other and got myself to pull through it mentally.  I got to the rec center at 7:50 after dropping off Courtney at school.  Started my first mile and was like so not feeling it with the right foot the perpetual issue.  I started at 1 mile at 8:57 and second mile made it two 8:41 pace after the first lap at 8:49.  1% incline.  So I then decided to do some 0.1 mile pick ups at 6:00 pace.  I ran five at 6:00 and four at 5:56.  Two at 5:52 and one at 5:49.  12 total with a 0.08 rest run in between at 8:41 pace.  I would wait for the tm to read 2.22 then up (or 2.42 etc)  pace to 10 mph and start the 0.1 miles at 2.24 to 2.34 then bring the pace down to 6.9 mph til tm read 2.42 and repeat going up in pace as mentioned earlier.  I was at 4 miles when I finished the 12th.  Got off TM and took a water break and prepared myself for the SW time trial.  I figured by running 10 to 10.3 mph earlier 9.2 start out would feel a heck of a lot easier only I had to hold it for three miles and increase my mile pace each mile. Moved incline down from 1% to 0.5% for the first two miles then 0% for last mile.  I just have to make that last mile feel easier so I don't lose it mentally.  I got on the TM ran 1 minute to get to 0.1 miles (so easy pace duh) then went right in to my time trial finishing 3.1 miles in 20:20.  Take a minute off that and that's 19:20 for the 3 miles.  6:26 ap.  So 6:35, 6:31 and 6:27 until last 0.14 where I picked up the pace to 6:00.  Strong finish and so glad I held it together.  Thought about quitting at mile two but talked myself out of it somehow.  Once I get to the mile to go I feel better but still doubt I can pick it up.  It was mostly my foot dictating my mind.  I felt an incredible sense of accomplishment.  Ran 1 mile cooldown at 8:48 ap.

Sore throat started at work Sunday afternoon when  I swallow.  Can't tell if it is muscular/nerve or really my throat as my neck is really tender on left by occiput and by where gland is but on outside on my neck.   Getting worse and my ear at times feels full of fluid.  Was fine when I first woke up and got downstairs but after an hour getting Courtney off to school and getting the other two up I started to feel more and more achy.  Great.  This run is going to be hard.  EASY pace no watch and that is all I could muster as my foot when I feel sick really cops out. Darn right foot back of heel pain, new spot very tender.  Seems systemic.  Then after 7 miles my symphisis pubis started to ache.  I had a hard time getting through the first mile and the second.  Very humid for me. Saw snails on trail in AF. Ran a 5 mile out and back to West Pond Road and thankfully ran into Taunya and Jessica running a 10 miler also.  They were almost at 7 and I almost at 5 turnaround.  Talked for about five minutes then was on my way again.  Just jogged back real easy.  Symphisis burning more and more and hips beginning to feels tender as well, something systemic,  strep???  Anyway got home and just sat on porch drinking ice cold water.  Did not take my garmin, used stop watch and just course tooled it at 10.13 miles.  AP then 8:41.  Better than I thought.   : D.

Rained out of suncrest run with the girls. Super humid so opted for rec center but that was worse. No fan and humid. Ran 13 miles tbought maybe 18 ut jist too drenched with sweat i knew i was over doing it. Ran provessive each mile increase y 0.1 mph starting at 6.7 mph. Ended at 7.9 (7:35) increasing pace to 7:03 last quarter mile at 3%. Every lat quarter of each mile increased incline from 1% to 3% then first upped the pace by the 0.1 moh becore decreasing incline back to 1%. So 3.25 miles at 3% :-). Lost three pounds of sweat. Wow.

Walter did not get msg tbat i could .ot pace the sf half and somehow my name was listed on fb about five days ago. I was scheduled to work but got put oncall @ 515am. Took a celebrex troy got for me from his mother. Yay. Hadnt had one in a year and i was desperate to not feel the pubis pain. It worked along with a plea to heavenly father to belp me. I ran even slpits at begi.ning then each mile got easier that i felt too vood to slow so stayed to help three guys push well to finish. Slowed before finish but still was too fast. 1:37:14 7:25 ap. :-). Could have run two to three minutes faster. So maybe 3:14 or sligbtly faster at sg. Not sore at all. Forgot to run a cooldown but honestly this run was run sub lactate so my heartrate was good wbole time.

Was going to do a five out and back but ran into loose wild horses and decided not to turn back so went up past lone peak and on golf course trail coming back on trail by cedar ridge and deerfield. Lab work all in. I most likely have hemocramotosis and iron storage disease. My estrogen and progesterone are an all time low...lower than menopausal levels. Dhea super low...35 and supposed to be 75 - 410!!!!! Joint pains explained by all the above and not healing due to iron free radicals in my body. Some days less than a few weeks ago cause i have been taking dhea (even before level taken) i feel like i m dying. So fatigued and in so much pain in nerves and bones. Now i have answers. Bopefully i can be cured and feel good again. First mile 9:10. Then on last half mile of last mile i picked it up from an 8 pace and came in at 7:21 feeling pretty good minus the at the surface pubis burning.

Menopause and iron overload disease is reallly kicking my butt. Feel bad every day. But somehow think my way thru a wprkout. Was going to run the 3 mile trial but just had to stop seconds after start of third mile. But got heartrate down and got back on in two minutes.....for last mile at 6:15. First two at 6:31 and 6:27 at 0.5%. Last mile no incline. Oh and i ran a wu of 8:57 x mile then 8:49 til 1.75 miles then ran 0.1 miles x 12 with equal recovery at 8:41 pace. That got me to 4.25 miles. Stretched and got water. Very sweaty and woried about my heartrate without electrolyes in humid rec ctr. Hence why by third in a row mile i stopped and gave my heart a break. I have been peeing a lot and my estrogen is lower than menopausal level. So hydration is key but i was in a hurry tbis morning had to go to work for skills day and teach about glucose management all day. Paces for first part 10 mph x4 10.1 x4 10.2 x2 10.3 x2. I have .o idea how my body will hold up over 26.2 miles. 1:37 first half and see what i habe left the second.

daughter brooke sick fifth day with high fever and I felt it in my joints last night and achy when I awoke.  Lots of stiffness below knees as has been usual this past spring/summer and now into fall.  drove courtney to school then went to rec center and ran 1/2 mile at 8:57, 1/2 at 8:48, 1/2 mile at 8:41, 0.25 miles at 8:34 all at 15 then right into 12 x 0.1 miles-- always starting at for example 3.73 miles increasing it to the pace and staying there til 3.85 miles so it is exactly 0.1 miles at pace.  All at 1 % incline.  First four at 10 mph (6:00), second four at 10.1 (5:56) mph, next two at 10.2 (5:52) mph, then 1 x 10.3 (5:49)  and 1 x 10.4 (5:46).  Recovery pace at 8:34 (7.0).  Then got off got a drink and stretched briefly.  Then did 3 x 1 mile.  6:22, 6:22 and 6:13 to 6:14 (6:22 for 2.5 lap, then 6:15 for 1 lap then upped to 6:00 pace for half lap).  All at 0.5% incline.  Recovery pace for last 1.75 miles at 8:20 to 8:27 miles.  Total 10 miles.  Brooke sice for her important soccer game but played about 20 minutes.  Tough game with a no calling ref.  Won 1 to 0 against a team not score on yet this season . : D.  Jenna scored!!!

Met and drove Kim to Janes at 550am.  Plan to run easy and 2 @ mp.  Well that never goes over well. Meaning we always go faster than marathon pace :D.  But I really was like no way the first two warm up miles with Chandi.  Jane and Kim were up a minute on us the first two miles.  I told them I was going easy.  And as I ran easy I felt I should not even run any fast but then after stopping at mile two I felt charged even with my music not yet on and they took off and the music falling out of my right ear about five or six times I felt incredibly good at a shockingly nice pace of 6:30.  First mile 6:29, second 6:30.  I slowed purposefully as 6:23 and 6:30 for that matter is not even marathon pace.  Ha ha.  Kim and Jane were about 20 seconds ahead of me.  There average was somewhere between 6:16 and 6:20.  Jane said right before running " I am not going to go faster than a 6:40".  LOL.  Well  I just ran what felt comfortable.  Then Kim ran home and I ran with Jane and Chandi (chandi ran 6:40s 8 weeks pregnant).  7 miles at 7:51 AP.  Now rest and ponder what exactly I am capable of at sg.  He He.
