PRs: Fleet Feet Turkey Trot 5k- 19:46;  St. George Marathon  3:07:11(2013-- coming back from the dead)  Utah Valley Marathon 2011- 3:09:13 : D  1st place Master Division, 7th Overall; Mt. Nebo 1/2 Marathon 2011- 1:19:35- 2nd Overall,  first master. Ogden Marathon 3:14  (2010); 10K 2011 Speedy Spaniard 40:47.  I have run 33 marathons: 15 St. George (1995, 2006-2019). Utah Valley (2011, 2014), Eiluj (2011), Deseret News (2015, 3:40 pacer),  Ogden (2009, 2010), Boston (1996,2012,2014,2018)Top of Utah (1999, 2011 pacer), and SLC (2006,2015), Pocatello (3:40 pacer 2012),park city marathon 3:41:53 (2013), and Big Cottonwood pacer (2017,2018)and three Ultras-Squaw Peak 51.25 miler 2010 in 12:05:27 (9th woman) and  Antelope Island  (32 miler) in  March, 2011 (4th overall in 5:10:25) and in 2009.

Personal:

Married to Troy since 1997.  We have three daughters- Courtney 21,  Brooke 19, and Amber 16 and one dog-Cocoa (15). Troy works and cook lots of yummy dinners and desserts.  Courtney is back as of Aug 2019 from 18 months in England.  Now working as a CNA and going to BYU. Brooke graduated from PGHS IN MAY 2019. Attending UVU in Fall. Called to serve in the Michigan Landing LDS church mission. Leaves Jan22, 2020. Amber plays for Olympic Montreux Premier 1 soccer team.  And is a junior this Fall 2019. I  work full time (27 years in June 2019) as a registered nurse. Currently working in the special care nursery  at American Fork Hospital.  Our family loves to camp and go to Disneyland.

3 mile warm up. 8:48-8:27 pace. 

8 x 800s   Easy pace increases by 0.1 mph each one except last two started slower and increased in organized fashion to faster over the half mile.  1/4 mile jog in between at 8:57 pace.  1) 7:30   2) 7:24  3) 7:19  4) 7:13 5) 7:06  6)7:03 7) started at 7:30 ended at 7:03.  8)  started at 7:13 ended at 6:47.   Cooldown to 10 miles which was 1.25 miles  at same pace as warm up.  81:21 total time   8:08 pace

5 easy in a town not to far from Magic Mountain where there are lots of horse shows and horse hangers instead of sidewalks.  Hotel 0.2 miles from bike trail.  Easy pace.  8:29 avg.  magic mountain.  phone took a turn on the twisted colossus and fell to its demise.  Well employees found it and are sending it to me.  Not sure of condition just said "Congratulations we found your item".  So it is being mailed to me.  LOL.  Dead or alive I know.  It will be either a Christmas Miracle or a Haunting Disaster.

2 warm up starting at 8:57 and increasing by 0.1 mph every 1/4 mile until two miles so ended at 8:06 pace.  Ran two miles at 7:30 pace.  1/2 mile at 8:48.  1 mile at 7:13 (little faster last lap), 1/2 mile at 8:48.  3/4 mile starting at 7:13 pace and increasing every 1/4 mile by 0.1 mph so ending at 7:03 pace but in last tenth of a mile increased pace to 6:40.  1/2 mile at 8:48.  1/2 mile starting at 7:13 pace and increasing pace every 1/10th at mile by 0.1 mph so ended at 6:53 avg but increased last 0.05 to 6:40 pace.  Cooldown 1/4 mile to make it an even 8 miles.

no watch.  course tooled.  square after running to 1100 north from my house, then going west to hospital road then north past hospital then east to canyon road then south to 1100 north then west to where I ran to at beginning and back up to my house.  Avg 8:39.  Felt like  I was running a 9:00 pace so thats good.

flew to Boston at 5 pm.  Arrived at hotel 2 am (took uber in Manchester to hotel for 11.65 plus tip). Uber back to airport to get car rental.

outside my cousins house on Cape Cod in Barnstable.  nice and easy. warmish day. sun out. but not for Boston on Monday. Pure rain.

pure rain from drop off from my husband.  wore a thin rain poncho whole race.  felt great except at mile 16 pelvis inflammatory disorder kicked in and I had to slow to 8:50-9 pace from my 8:33 avg before then.  Quite enjoyed the run in the rain. Was not cold and the wind was just more comedy to the day.  Three gus in race. Alternated water and gatorade skipped a couple because I had to pee often. Stopped twice before 10 k to porta potties.  Probabaly 30-45 seconds each.  Just hit a weird spot at mile 25 before that I was all expecting a smiling finish but I nearly blacked out from dizziness.  To the tent I went for 15 minutes for an ekg. At first my heart rate was high and my BP was too (for me 140/85).  Felt better with salty chips and chicken broth.  Then walked the finishers lane at a lame pace of 30 min/mile because my pelvis was so unstable.  MRI last June showed significant sclerosing and inflammatory response.   So getting old.  1:50:24 first half *8:25.6 avg.  1:59:48 second half *9:08.7 avg.  Overall 3:50:12  Garmin had me 0.31 miles long for porta potties and bad tangents.  My real avg was 8:41.  My Boston is 26.2 miles avg was 8:47.    Last mile was a 10:16 from my slowest before that being 9:16.  The dizziness cost me at least a minute.  Loved having my husband and cousins there to chere me on!! so awesome!!!
